We're relaunching

Hey all.

Back in 2009, Kyle Hayes and myself launched the Cardinal Courier Alumni Association. We had some lofty dreams for it, but as the past few years have shown, we didn't get very far. My recent move to Washington, D.C., reminded me of the power of an alumni network though. That, combined with the fact that the Cardinal Courier will be celebrating its tenth birthday in April 2012, made me realize that the Alumni Association needed to be relaunched.

The Courier was probably the biggest part of my life while I was at Fisher just as I know it was for others too. This April, the Cardinal Courier will celebrate its tenth birthday meaning that there will now be ten years; worth of people who have dedicated their time and efforts to the Courier and its mission. The Cardinal Courier Alumni Association needs to give this talented group a place to share stories, to catch up on Courier news and to reconnect with friends they may have once spent countless hours cooped up in the Courier Office with.

You can find us on Facebook (search for Cardinal Courier Alumni Association). There's still the old group on there, but Facebook is slowly phasing out the old-style groups. We're switching to an Alumni Association page, which we will try to use that page to post news and send out Courier updates. The Association can also be found on Twitter at twitter.com/courieralumni.

If you have any suggestions for how the CCAA can help you in your post-Courier life, please let us know either by posting a message on this blog, on the Facebook group or by e-mailing us at cardinalcourieralumni@gmail.com.

Thanks.
